From a place where you can take over the IT operations that you are burdened with.
OverviewWe are unable to do anything to improve the environment as we continue to respond to inquiries and troubleshoot problems. Each location has a different network and server configuration, and management is concentrated on the person in charge. Link T&B organizes the current environment and business constraints and assembles the necessary range of support, from design and construction to operation and maintenance.
Not only the configuration of the equipment, but also the operational procedures and scope of responsibility.
- I want to take over maintenance from the existing vendor
- I want to have the same structure and contact points for each base.
- I want to balance daily response and environmental improvement.
Take over the existing environment Review the operation
ApproachTo improve daily operations, in addition to updating equipment, it is also necessary to review operations and the behavior of personnel. Check the supporting work, unstoppable hours, current contracts and systems, and decide which tasks to prioritize.
Separate tasks that are decided internally and tasks that are outsourced, and establish contact information and procedures for making changes. If configuration materials are missing, we will understand the current situation from existing materials and interviews, and incorporate confirmation of unclear points into the succession plan.
Support Where You Need It
Support ScopeNetwork design and construction
We consider configurations such as LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless LAN depending on the location and business. We confirm the connection range, terminals used, communication between bases, and relationship with existing equipment, and determine targets for construction and switching.
Server/storage/virtualization infrastructure
Organize your current systems and connections, capacity, backup, and recovery methods. The tasks required for new construction and migration of an existing environment are different, so plan the targets and migration conditions separately.
Maintenance and operation takeover of existing environment
Review configuration documentation, administrative privileges, contracts with existing vendors, and equipment maintenance status. We will organize the materials necessary for handover and unconfirmed matters, and clarify the contact points and response procedures after handover.
Operation/monitoring/inquiry response
Decide on monitoring targets, notification destinations, primary response, maintenance work, and the system responsible for each. We combine the necessary support, from the introduction of monitoring services to communication and response in the event of a failure.
Both the structure and procedures can be inherited.
DeliverablesWe summarize the configuration diagram and operational procedures in a format that can be passed on to the person in charge. Below are examples of artifacts. The scope of delivery and confirmation method will be agreed upon at the time of contract.

From checking the current situation to construction and operation handover
Process1. Check current situation and priorities
We will ask you about your current environment, the tasks you are having trouble with, and the operations that will be affected. Consider whether a complete update is necessary, or whether it can be addressed by organizing operations or making some improvements.
2. Agree on target, scope of responsibility, and change plan
We will organize the scope of construction and migration, available time, confirmation method, and division of work with in-house personnel. Plan for systems that are in operation, including switchover and recovery procedures.
3. Construction/evaluation and operational handover
Work and evaluation will be performed within the agreed upon scope, and configuration information and operational procedures will be inherited. If you wish to provide ongoing support, decide on the reception method, contact information, and response time.
Determine the scope of monitoring, failure response, and on-site work
ConditionsResponse time, whether on-site work is required, and the scope of monitoring and recovery work will be confirmed on a case-by-case basis. Nighttime/holiday support and constant monitoring will be handled within the scope of the system and contract conditions agreed upon with the target system. The manufacturer and the terms of existing contracts are also relevant when it comes to replacing broken equipment and supporting existing products.
When making a proposal, we will clearly state the scope of responsibility of our company and our partners, the work to be requested from in-house personnel, and the contact route in the event of a problem. We separate the scope of work to be delegated and the scope of internal judgment and approval.
Please tell us about your current environment and the tasks you are having trouble with.
Getting StartedEven if you do not have a list of equipment or a configuration diagram, please let us know the number of locations, users, main systems, and any problems you are currently facing. Knowing your existing maintenance contract, the times you are unavailable, and your preferred timing will make it easier to organize the scope of support. Before sharing materials, confirm confidentiality and scope of viewing.
Because of the problems we are facing with our current IT operations.
